ever wondered what goes on when you step on the gas of your brand new BMW M3, with v8 engine?

Now you don't have to.

Ideacity incorporated came up with this short advertisement aptly named "Revolution" to show exactly what happens. Manifolds were cut, cylinders shaved, lighting holes drilled, and cameras, lights, lenses etc were fitted inside the engine to film the whole process.

After 2 weeks of study and preparation, 4 20-hour days to film, 420 horsepower was finally caught on film and done justice. This spot was filmed at 10,000 frames per second.

NO COMPUTER GENERATED IMAGES WERE USED.

The result?

one word: sexy.
